Manchester City’s star goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, 27, tied the knot with childhood sweetheart Alessia Elefante at a lavish wedding ceremony in Locorotondo, Italy on Friday.
The couple previously had a quiet civil marriage in May this year, but chose to have a grander ceremony ahead of the upcoming English Premier League season, once most of Donnarumma’s teammates were free from their World Cup duties.
Norwegian superstar striker Erling Haaland was among the special guests in attendance, fresh from carrying his country into the last 16, scoring seven goals in five games. At the wedding, Haaland was seen teaching some guests the famous Viking Row celebration, which Norwegian fans made popular at the World Cup.
Donnarumma first met Elefante — an interior designer — in 2016, in their hometown of Castellammare di Stabia, near Naples. They have a son together named Leo, 2.
