Cristiano Ronaldo's sister Elma Aveiro visits Keralam; meets CM VD Satheesan

Elma Aveiro, sister of Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo, paid a visit to Keralam, where she met with Chief Minister VD Satheesan. During her visit, locals shared their intense passion for football and their deep admiration for the legendary goalscorer, whose decorated career spans victories from Manchester to Madrid.
Satheesan uploaded a video capturing Elma’s interactions with him and local fans on his X account, along with a photograph documenting the occasion.
“Had a warm interaction with @Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, Elma Aveiro, during her visit to Keralam. Shared with her the boundless passion and love Malayalis have for football and for Cristiano. She graciously promised to convey the warm wishes and affection of Keralam’s football fans to him. #CR7 #Football #Keralam.”
Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of scoring 1,000 career goals
Presently representing Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, Ronaldo continues his chase of reaching 1,000 career goals. He currently stands at 978 official goals after finding the net during Al-Nassr’s recent 2-1 victory over Al-Tawooun.
Cristiano Ronaldo last represented Portugal on the international stage during the FIFA World Cup 2026, which concluded with his team exiting in the round of 16 in July.
A late strike from Spain’s Mikel Merino sealed a 1-0 defeat for Portugal in a highly anticipated encounter that featured world-class names such as Bruno Fernandes, Lamine Yamal, Mikel Oyarzabal, and Ronaldo.
Having confirmed before the Spanish clash that it would mark his final World Cup appearance, the forward walked off the pitch tearfully after missed opportunities, including chances from himself and Fernandes, ended Portugal’s tournament run. Ronaldo concluded his World Cup legacy with 11 goals, standing as the only player to score across six consecutive World Cup editions.
Since his World Cup debut in 2006, where Portugal achieved fourth place, the national team recorded a round-of-16 finish in 2010, a group stage exit in 2014, and another pre-quarterfinal departure in 2018. The 2022 tournament saw Portugal reach the quarterfinals, though his long-time rival Lionel Messi ultimately captured the World Cup trophy for Argentina.
Ronaldo’s rival Lionel Messi announced his international retirement on Instagram as the two football icons enter the twilight phase of their careers.
