Bruno Guimaraes’s maiden goal for Arsenal inspired them to a 2-0 win at Sunderland on Saturday to extend their flawless start in the English Premier League (four wins in four games).
Soon after David Raya denied Enzo le Fee from the spot, Guimaraes (58th min) smashed the ball into the top corner from outside the box. Bukayo Saka’s penalty in the eighth minute of added time sealed the win.
Mikel Arteta
Arteta lavished praise on Guimaraes’s ability to change the game. “His goal was unbelievable. The way he grabs the game by the scruff of the neck, making the right decisions, is great,” said Arteta.
