Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone urged his side to be wary of Real Madrid’s counter-attacking prowess as they look to win their fifth consecutive La Liga game on Sunday.
“They’ll have better transitions than us; more direct. They have powerful players who will look to capitalise on that. We have to read the game as well as possible so that they don’t feel too comfortable in their rapid transitions,” said the Argentine coach.

Los Blancos boss Jose Mourinho is aware his team have a lot to improve upon, particularly when it comes to controlling the ball — they had only 44 per cent possession against Elche. However, he praised his side’s grit in turning games around. “Our team has so much quality, and more than anything else, we have team spirit and mental strength. But we know we have to improve a lot. My intention for tomorrow is to go all out,” said Mourinho.
