WCG rink football: Egan Fernandes two good as St Blaise storm into semis

Egan Fernandes scored a brilliant brace as St Blaise (Amboli) beat Sacred Heart ‘B’ (Andheri) by the odd goal in a three in an elite men’s quarter-final match of the 46th Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana (WCG) inter-parish rink football tournament at the WCG’s floodlit tennis courts at Santacruz recently.
Qain D’Souza scored the lone goal for Sacred Heart.
In another quarter-final encounter, Our Lady of Fatima (Vasai) beat St Joseph’s ‘A’ (Juhu) 3-1. Sean D’Souza scored twice while Brett Gonsalves added the third goal for the Vasai side. Dwight D’Abreo got the consolation goal for the St Joseph’s.
